(250509) -- HEBEI, May 9, 2025 (Xinhua) -- Laborers work at a grand bridge construction site of the Hebei section of Xiong'an-Xinzhou high-speed railway in north China's Hebei Province, May 8, 2025. The Xiong'an-Xinzhou high-speed railway is an important section of Beijing-Kunming high-speed railway that belongs to a greater high-speed rail artery network consisting eight vertical lines and eight horizontal lines in the country.

Upon completion, the railway line is expected to relieve the passenger transport pressure in the areas around Beijing while promoting high-quality development of the economy and society along the line. (Xinhua/Mu Yu)
