(250617) -- XIAMEN, June 17, 2025 (Xinhua) -- A worker grinds a column at the construction site of Xiang'an International Airport in Xiamen, southeast China's Fujian Province, June 16, 2025. The construction of the airport is expected to be completed by the end of this year. It will be put into operation by the end of 2026. By then, the airport will be able to meet the annual passenger throughput of 45 million people, cargo and mail throughput of 750,000 tonnes, and aircraft take-offs and landings of 380,000.
